The Ecosystem Retreat 2026 was a 2-in-1 conference that took place over 4 days in Rome, Italy in June 2026. For the first 1.5 days of the event, we welcomed European Climate Foundation (ECF) teams from all over Europe and overseas for an internal meeting and teambuilding. For the following 2.5 days, they were also joined by their partners and stakeholders from all over the world.
We were in charge of the full-scope planning and management of the event - from the idea conception all the way to the on-site management of the event in Rome. We accompanied the ECF team throughout the planning process ensuring the integration between their strategic goals and thinking and the practical event elements, so that content and logisitcs work in unison to create a memorable and meaningful experience for attendees.
The biggest challenge? Ensuring a smooth transition between the two parts of the event. Two agendas, two guest lists, two different tones - one smooth experience!
